At present there are 8 major universities listed in Victoria, Australia. These are internationally recognised academic institutions that offer students a chance to earn a Bachelors degree.

Each one of these institutions offer students a chance to study the Supply Chain processes within Australia and internationally. The main subjects offered are:

  • Supply Chain
  • Global Logistics
  • Domestic Transport
  • Inventory methods
  • Economics
  • Import and Export

These subjects have not always been available, in fact over the past 5 years we have seen a massive shift in relevant subjects offered to students due to the constantly changing Global Supply Chain industry.
Industry professionals within Australia understand first hand how the Logistics Industry within Australia has adopted many international processes to make us more competitive and streamlined. These changes have only occurred due to the increases in IT intelligence and availability.  Forwarders are taking on more of the Supply Chain process and are even controlling Inventory methods for individual clients.
These industry changes have meant that universities are working with Industry leaders to change their course work accordingly to get the most relevant content for their students to study to mould them into Logistics specialists.

The future goal of the Global Logistics and Supply Chain Industry within Australia is to employ smarter University Graduates to keep up with the smarter way of doing business.
