Australian owned company operational for approximately 30 years, a profitable business and boasting some high profile customers who import a wide range of products from all over the globe into the Australian market.
This is a dynamic and fast paced industry that requires a high level of inter-personal skills, aptitude and a great customer service style of attitude to enable you to be successful in your role.
The role will involve looking after a set portfolio of import clients, you will be managing their purchase orders liaising with their overseas suppliers and co-ordinating their freight to ensure their product arrives to your client’s premises on time and within budget.
The freight will move across many modes of transport (air, ocean, road, rail) therefore it will be your role to ensure that the movement across the supply chain will be a smooth one, updating your client along the way with ETA details and providing any relevant reports they may require.
What is our client looking for?
They are looking for a pro-active individual who has a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an office environment preferably in a customer service style of role
You will have an interest / passion for learning international logistics
Strong communication skills with a very pro-activate attitude
Be able to commute daily to Matraville where their office is located
You will be given the opportunity to learn and develop skills in a diverse industry and one that is growing
Have a very experienced Manager who you can learn from
Be employed by a profitable and successful company
Salary $55,000 + Super (neg)
Location: Matraville (parking supplied)
