The Role
We are looking for a Customs Classifier ideally with some previous classification experience in a Forwarding environment. However if you have a strong desire to work in a customs team, we want to hear from you!
Most importantly, this opportunity is for a professional team player who enjoys providing top level customer service.
Typical Duties
- Checking and obtaining required information/ documentation
- Calculating duties
- Tariff classification and valuation
- Classifying customs entries
- Preparing and pre-lodging entries
To be successful you will need:
- Exposure to Classifying within a Freight Forwarder
- Experience with Cargowise
- Currently completing or near completed Diploma of Customs Broking
- Working knowledge of harmonized tariff code, valuations, INCO terms desirable
- Excellent communication skills
- Driven attitude and team mentality
Salary:
Up to $85,000 + Super + bonus's pending experience level
