We are seeking a Freight Forwarding Operations Specialist to join a well-established, international freight forwarding business. This is a great opportunity to become part of a supportive and collaborative operations team, working across air freight and/or ocean freight shipments.

This role suits someone who enjoys being hands-on, thrives on problem-solving, and takes pride in keeping shipments moving smoothly from start to finish. Youll be a key point of contact for customers, ensuring day-to-day shipment activity is managed accurately, on time, and in line with service expectations.

The Role

Depending on your background, you will be involved in a mix of air and ocean freight operations, including:

• Managing cargo reporting and compliance requirements
• Handling invoicing tasks, including handover invoicing, customer invoicing, and rate card reviews
• Processing EDO (Electronic Delivery Order) releases
• Responding to broker and customer queries in a timely and professional manner
• Providing ongoing customer support and managing ad hoc enquiries
• Conducting transhipment checks to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Liaising closely with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Assisting with claims handling and damage reporting processes
• Using CargoWise to manage shipments and documentation

About You

• Previous experience in freight forwarding (air freight, ocean freight, or both)
• Local or overseas forwarding experience will be considered
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple shipments at once
• Customer-focused, with clear and confident communication skills
• A team player with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
• Organised, reliable, and able to follow tasks through to completion

Salary

$75,000 $80,000 + super
