Weve been engaged by Buderim Foods, a long-established Sunshine Coast manufacturer known for its premium ginger and specialty food products supplied across Australia, the UK, the US, and beyond.

Theyre seeking an experienced and hands-on Quality Manager to lead the sites quality and food safety programs. This is a key leadership role for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with a practical approach on the factory floor.

About the Role

Youll oversee all aspects of product quality, food safety, and compliance - ensuring standards are met from raw materials to finished goods. The role requires a confident communicator who can work closely with production teams and international customers while maintaining a sharp focus on detail and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the QA/QC team, driving a culture of quality and accountability.
• Maintain and strengthen HACCP, GMP, and BRC systems.
• Manage audits, documentation, and traceability processes.
• Oversee microbiological and chemical testing, interpret results, and take corrective actions.
• Liaise with overseas customers and ensure compliance with UK and US standards.

About You

• Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or Food Chemistry.
• 5+ years in food manufacturing, including leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and BRC standards.
• Practical, confident working with production teams on the floor.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
